Top Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in Ireland, Q3 2025

In the third quarter of 2025, the performance of the top navigation and maps applications on Android in Ireland showed varied trends across the board. Here's a closer look at the top five apps based on data from Sensor Tower.

TFI Live from National-Transport-Authority saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, especially in September, peaking at approximately 5.6K in the week of September 8. The app's weekly active users also rose, reaching around 260K by the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, fluctuating between 3K and 3.7K. Its active user count showed a gradual increase, ending the quarter with just over 80K users.

Google Earth experienced a modest rise in downloads mid-quarter, with numbers hitting 1.5K at the beginning of September. Active users fluctuated slightly but ended the quarter on a positive note, with a rise to approximately 20.5K.

Google Maps Go had a consistent download pattern, ranging from 250 to 370 downloads weekly. Active users remained stable, with minor fluctuations around 2.5K.

Finally, World Explorer 3D: Live Map showed a sharp decline in downloads after an initial spike in July. Active users followed a downward trend, starting from over 2.5K in July and decreasing to around 600 by the end of September.
